Codex is half reading between the lines -
it relies on a reader's prior subjective experience to symbols and word associations. It can be read in a multitude of ways, back to front, as fact or fiction. 

The book is about a land called Promise. Subjects are cornrows & condos, population's shift from collective to individual, cats vs dogs, constellations as autonomous beings, pastoral glorification, the power dynamics of physical elevation, lunch, orientation systems, categorical systems, colonizer mindset, cycles, dopamine addiction, and the ultimate dissolve into virtual existence.
